FERNDALE ? The February glimaSoutheast 5:01 Networking Event at Dino?s Lounge will benefit Special Olympics Michigan, provide music CDs from a Detroit artists as door prizes, and give early arrivers A Bag of Useful Things.

Non-members, who wish to join glima at the mixer can get their $10 admission fee deducted from the annual $75 membership fee, even less if there are multiple members from the same company. Yearly membership also buys members access to the organization?s free ?members only? educational seminars, where members have the opportunity to interact with decision makers and solution providers from Southeast Michigan?s technology community.

The first glimaSoutheast 5:01 Networking Event of 2006 on Feb. 23 at 5:01 pm will benefit Special Olympics Michigan. In return for a $5 donation, tickets will be drawn for a chance at cool door prizes.

Those prizes include copies of local singer/songwriter Lia Larin?s latest CDs, ? ?Wake Up, Start Dreaming? (her newest release) and 2003 hit ?The Story of O-Miz?, which captured three awards at the 2004 JPF (Just Plain Folks) Awards, including Best Alternative Song (?Golden Boy?).

Plus the first 50 pre-registered attendees will also receive glimaSoutheast?s novel ABOUT (A Bag of Useful Things) bag.

Upscale, but not uptight is the way restaurant critics have described Dino?s Lounge, which provides an eclectic atmosphere in everything it does from the interior decorating, which includes a long mahogany bar and massive beveled mirror as the focal points, to its musical entertainment every Wednesday and throughout the weekend. The Feb. 23 glimaSoutheast program promises more of the same.
