TROY – Automation Alley’s Technology Business Committee will host its final Business Finance Solution Series seminar this year on November 2 with a program focused on financing options for established entrepreneurs.

Mark Lundquist of Fulcrum Edge will lead the discussion on SBA funding, sub debt funding, private equity funding, venture capital and early pay financing. Speakers joining Lundquist are Douglas Adams of Comerica Bank, Matt Hook of Centerfield Capital Partners and Bob Sabourin of InStream Financial.

Douglas Adams, vice president of Comerica Bank, supports entrepreneurs in starting, acquiring or expanding businesses by providing information about the Small Business loan programs. The SBA loans can be used for a multitude of purposes including the purchase of owner-occupied real estate, construction, renovation, refinancing existing debt, purchase of equipment, acquire a business, acquire or start a franchise operation or a professional practice.

Matt Hook is the managing director of Centerfield Capital Partners, one of the largest institutionally backed providers of private growth capital based in Indiana. A majority of Centerfield’s investments are structured as mezzanine investments, the level of capital between senior debt and equity. It is generally issued in the form of subordinated debt together with equity rights provided by a warrant or conversion feature. He has a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law.

Bob Sabourin, executive vice president of InStream Financial, is responsible for investor relations, new business development, client support, and marketing. He will discuss the benefits of the InStream Financial EarlyPay program: increase a business’ liquidity and generate extra working capital. EarlyPay makes it easy for a business to capitalize on opportunities as well as improve DSO and other financial ratios. Sabourin has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Wayne State University and is a graduate of the advanced management program at Harvard University.
