ANN ARBOR – Denise Roberts, the creator of the Painless Prospecting System, will offer her Art of Networking method for developing new business by cultivating existing clients at an afternoon seminar scheduled for May 31 at the Ann Arbor IT Zone.
Roberts said the two objectives to her Art of Networking workshop are to shift people?s perspectives of what networking is, and what it isn?t and shift people?s paradigm into thinking what works in connecting with their circle of friends in life should be the same as what works in developing their businesses.
The other side of the workshop is interactive. Students will learn her Box Step Way to initiate a conversation, ask prospects questions to get to know them, develop a self introduction and than find a way to gracefully exit the conversation and talk with the next potential client.
What kind of results does it produce? Roberts said her Painless Prospecting system was used by a large international shipping company, which than shipped 137,000 additional units to one region over six months.
In February, Roberts taught her Art of Networking system to members of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. She was so well received, said Janet Wyllie, Grand Rapids Chamber Vice President of Membership Programs & Events, that the Chamber plans to bring her back in mid May to offer her Painless Prospecting Workshop for its Sales, Networking and Leadership Conference & Expo.
