TRAVERSE CITY ? Crime and computers will be the topic at a seminar April 21 hosted by GLIMANorthwest, the northern most chapter of the GLIMA Network.
Cybercrime: Your Risks, Your Rights will feature Grand Traverse County Detective Todd Heller, who specializes in investigations into cybercrime in the region. Detective Heller will share stories from his experiences and give an inside look into the unfortunately growing world of virtual crimes. Traverse Legal attorney and glima Northwest Board Member Enrico Schaefer will discuss the risks and rights individuals face in the workplace. What happens when your employer monitors your email? Where does privacy begin and end?
The presentation is free for glima members; $5 for non-glima members. Light refreshments and snacks will be served. It is scheduled for April 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Northwestern Michigan College MTEC Building on Airport Access Road in Traverse City.
