TROY – Tech networking group ConnecTech has opened the submissions process for its new awards program, which replaces the former ICE Awards. Submission deadline is Sept. 19.
Four categories are offered this year: Web Copywriting, Web Application Development, Graphic Design and Blogging. Ken Theis, CIO for the State of Michigan, will be speaking about current technology initiatives at the State level and distributing the awards.
“Recognizing excellence among Michigan’s technology professionals is a priority for the State,” said Theis. “In addition to just being the right thing to do, it’s an effective way to attract and retain technology talent and investment. Taking the time to honor those who stand out is something I’m proud to support.”
There is no cost to enter a category; submission to multiple categories is allowed. Submissions will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, September 19, and judging will take place between September 20 and October 3. Finalists will be notified by Friday, October 10 and asked to attend the Awards Program. The awards will be held in conjunction with the Troy Chamber’s Helen eWards on October 22.
