DETROIT ? ConnecTech Greater Detroit launched in mid December with a dynamic evening attended by more than 300 of the regions technology innovators at the MGM Grand?s Ignite night club.

More than 200 of those guests competed in the Nintendo Wii “Closest To The Pin” competition. John Higgins with CPA Crossings, was the lucky winner artfully dropping the ball three feet from the pin.

Other prizes included a one-night stay at the MGM Grand Hotel with Dinner for two and gift certificates to the to MGM Grand Spa, one-year subscriptions to Guardian Angel Software; an automated online back-up service and SCATE Technologies.

Other highlights include:

Ruthanne Largent, Director of Information Systems for the MGM Grand Detroit was presented with the, ConnecTech Achievement and Innovation Award, for her efforts in bringing to life the technological magic of the MGM Grand Detroit.
