ANN ARBOR – The IT Zone is kicking off a new series called Career Focus and the inaugural event, on March 28, will look at the Entrepreneurial Experience: Understanding the Slight Edge.
Presenter David Milne, from The Entrepreneur’s Source, will present John Drennan, who has a diverse background that includes teaching, coaching, business development, and training. After an early career as a high school teacher and coach, Drennan turned to the business world where he has owned and operated several businesses. In 1994 his business was recognized by INC Magazine and he was selected as Ann Arbor?s Entrepreneur of the Year.
Drennan applies the concept of the Slight Edge in his current marketing business which has established over 60,000 customers in the past 7 years. The concept of the Slight Edge explores one?s business philosophies along with the simple day-day activities that lead to ongoing success over time.
Milne has been a resident of Ann Arbor for 29 years. He retired in late 2004 from over 35 years of commercial and military aviation. Upon his retirement he set out on a course of business consulting with his company, The Entrepreneur’s Source. He uses an “Inside Out” approach that helps others, just like it did for him, to realize that career options in self employment are plentiful but the thought process from employee to business owner has to be modified for progess to be made.
Career Focus is scheduled for March 28 from 8:30 – 10 am at the Ann Arbor IT Zone, 330 E. Liberty. The cot for students is $5, for members $15 and for non members $25.
