TROY – On November 1, Automation Alley is hosting a special panel of business start-up experts who will outline three routes for entrepreneurs to explore when searching for funding.
Fritz Spademan, head of Money Finders. and the Entrepreneur & Investor Exchange, will describe angel funding – what it is, how it typically works, how to locate angel investors and how to frame a business opportunity in a manner appropriate to angel investor interests.
Skip Simms, director of the Michigan Pre-Seed Capital Fund, will explain how new high-tech Michigan ventures that are approaching the point of product or service commercialization may qualify for Pre-Seed Fund matching investments.
Lisa Kurek, managing partner at Biotechnology Business Consultants, will outline essential support services available to start-up firms including grants from a variety of sources, interim business management, strategic planning, business plan development and market planning.
This special program, is part of Automation Alley?s Business Lifecycle Finance Series. It runs from 8 to 10 a.m., at Automation Alley, 2675 Bellingham, Troy. The fee is $15 for Automation Alley members, or $30 for non-members, and includes a continental breakfast. Early reservations are recommended.
