TROY – The United States Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) will be awarding over $20 million this year in contracts to U.S. small businesses selected to work on a series of collaborative technology development projects that have dual use applications for the military and industry.
These awards will be made through the Small Business Innovation Research Program. The program will be outlined during this technology briefing, which is scheduled for June 5 from 9:30-11:30 am at Automation Alley?s headquarters in Troy.
Topics to be discussed are:
Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) program – Peter DiSante, U.S. Army National Automotive Center
Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program – Alex Sandel, U.S. Army National Automotive Center
Government Contracting – Ed Young, U.S. Army TACOM Acquisition Center
The Air Force Research Laboratory will also be present to sign up new companies and researchers to their web-based collaboration service.
