ROYAL OAK – Cyber security expert Dan Lohrmann explains the backstory on the recent ban by the United States government from agencies using Kaspersky anti-virus software, the focus of Congressional hearings this week. Insiders say Kaspersky software was either wittingly or unwittingly used by the Russian FSB (kind of equivalent to US FBI) to hack high ranking government officials computers. CEO Eugene Kaspersky has denied the allegations.
