DETROIT – Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist will deliver the IoT Tech Connect lunch keynote address at the Michigan Science Center on April 29, 2019 to discuss the administration’s interest in using technology to expand economic opportunities and streamline governance to make Michigan a home for opportunity.

IoT Tech Connect is a full-day conference aimed at showcasing the IoT (Internet of Things) technologies in Michigan. It will be held on April 29 at the Michigan Science Center in mid-town Detroit on the edge of the Wayne State University campus.

The conference opens at 9 a.m. with a keynote address from Lawrence Burns, former Vice President for Research and Technology at General Motors. He will discuss the findings of his new book Autonomy: The Quest to Build The Driverless Car – And How It Will Reshape Our World.
The conference concludes with the China-government backed InnoSTARS IoT Pitch Competition that will give up to 10 Michigan IoT companies the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to China this fall to compete in the world finals.
