AT&T Brings 4G LTE To 2 Of Michigan’s Smallest Towns

DETROIT — Two of Michigan’s smallest municipalities now have high-speed 4G LTE wireless service from AT&T thanks to recent system upgrades.

The city of Omer, with a population of 313 in the 2010 Census, is Michigan’s second smallest city. It’s in Arenac County on US-23, where the improved tower is located, east of Hagley Road.

Also, the village of Perrinton, in mid-Michigan’s Gratiot County, population 406, also was upgraded to 4G LTE service, in an upgraded tower north of M-57, between South Luce Road and Ely Highway.

Said AT&T Michigan President Jim Murray: “We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”
