TROY – Tata Technologies was named by Automation Alley as the Technology Company of the Year, one of six member companies honored at the technology networking group’s annual gala, this year at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester.

Tata Technologies, founded in 1989, is a global leader in Engineering Services Outsourcing and Product Development IT for manufacturers.

Tom LaSorda, former Chrysler CEO and current founder and managing partner of venture capital firm IncWell LLC, was also honored at this year’s Awards Gala. LaSorda received the Automation Alley Champion Award in honor of his contribution and support of Automation Alley and the Automation Alley Technology Center at Oakland University, in addition to his ongoing efforts to help spur economic growth in the region.

Each year, Automation Alley celebrates Southeast Michigan’s thriving tech economy at its awards gala, an event that consistently draws some of the region’s most influential leaders in business, government and academia. The event celebrates the accomplishments and continued growth of the individuals and companies moving Southeast Michigan’s technology community forward.
