LANSING – A topic of interest to a wide range of organizations has been selected as the keynote topic at the upcoming re-launch of Lansing’s Mobile Monday chapter. ‘Apps for the Enterprise; How is Business Maximizing the Benefit of Apps’ is the selected topic and it will be presented by Jeff Imholz, WebSphere Technical Specialist for IBM.

IBM has been in the news a lot lately for their collaboration with Apple on enterprise apps. Imholz will share with Mobile Monday Lansing attendees the IBM perspective on the Internet of Things (IoT) and how it is being interpreted in the enterprise space, along with insights related to the aforementioned partnership with Apple for Enterprise App Development.

“Lansing really needs a resource focused on mobile/wireless tech where people can go to get advice, make connections, learn about the latest in mobile/wireless tech, and gain new opportunities,” said Mobile Monday Lansing Chapter Leader Leo Dion. “Mobile Monday provides all this and more for the Lansing tech community!”

Also speaking at the event will be Linda Daichendt, CEO and Executive Director of the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (MTAM), the non-profit parent organization of Mobile Monday Michigan and the Lansing chapter. Daichendt’s presentation will focus the impact of mobile/wireless technologies on Michigan’s economy and various industries across the state, the opportunities these technologies offer the state for job creation and small business development, as well as on MTAM’s efforts to support Lansing’s mobile/wireless tech community.

“We’ve had many requests from members of the Lansing tech community to get the chapter active again and we’re very excited to be able start things off with an exciting topic and a keynote speaker representing a world-class firm,” said Daichendt.
The event takes place on September 28th at 7 p.m. at the chapter’s new location, the East Lansing Technology Innovation Center at 325 E. Grand River Avenue in East Lansing. The event, sponsored by MTAM, the East Lansing Technology Innovation Center and Recruitment Management Consultants is free to attend but does require advance registration at http://meetup.com/MoMoLansing
