aimWest Oct. 21 Event: Startups In Your Backyard

GRAND RAPIDS – aimWest’s October networking and education event will be an exciting, fast-paced look into the vibrant West Michigan startup community.

Several local startups will step onto the aimWest stage and blow our minds with how they’re disrupting the market, the new technologies they’re developing, and the things they are doing that are just plain cool.

Each startup will have 5 minutes to tell you their story. No prizes. No format. No judges. Just 5 minutes (and a bunch of networking before and after they take the stage, of course) to tell you about some of the game-changing ideas they’re developing, building and selling right here in your backyard (and to see if you can help out in some kind of way).

Panelists:
Programax founder Jason Mejeur
One Bowl founder Justin Herd
KnitIT founder Liz Bartlett
Fathom founder Matt Gira
Project Technique founder Chris Jackson
Underbite Games founder Cory Heald

The event is free for aimWest members, $20 for non-members, and free for students. Per aimWest tradition, the networking will start promptly at 5 p.m., the startups will take over the stage at 6 p.m., and there will be more great networking and conversation when they finish at 7 p.m.

Cash bar and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
