DETROIT – Matt Miller, a partner in Silicon Valley-based Sequoia Capital, will be at Bamboo Detroit on Friday from 5 -8 pm where he will be interviewed by Startup Grind (a Google for Entrepreneur’s program) founder Derek Anderson.

Sequoia Capital was founded in 1972 to help pioneer Silicon Valley making early investments in Apple, Google, PayPal, Ciso, Yaloo, Zappos and more recently Airbnb, Evernote and many more. Sequoia Capital also aims for global markets, recently announcing an $800 million fund for India and Southeast Asian companies.

In total Sequoia has raised more than $3 Billion and made more than 900 investments. Sequoia’s portfolio is estimated to account for more than 20 percent of NASDAQ’s total value.

Matt Miller is focused on enterprise technology, working with Sequoia’s investments in Docker, Bit9 + Carbon Black, Hirevue, Skyhigh Networks, Nimble Storage and Barracuda Networks.  Prior to joining Sequoia in 2012, Matt worked at Goldman Sachs, where he launched the firm’s investment banking efforts in cloud computing.  He’ll be at Bamboo Detroit on Friday from 5:00-8:00pm interviewed live by Startup Grind (a Google for Entrepreneur’s program) founder himself Derek Anderson.
