DETROIT – Three highly successful South Asian entrepreneurs will be the featured speakers Oct. 29 at the Immigrant Entrepreneur event at Wayne State University, hosted by TiE Detroit.

Co-sponsors include the WSU College of Engineering, the James and Patricia Anderson Institute, Blackstone LaunchPad, Fakhoury Law Group, and Global Detroit. The event, at the Engineering Auditorium & Ford Activity Center, starts at 4:30 pm.

Speakers include:

Vineet Katial, President & CEO, VistaMoney, and Founding Member & Steering Council Detroit TiE Angels;

Bhushan Kulkarni, President & CEO, InfoReady Corporation, and Charter Member, TiE Detroit;

Avinash Rachmale, CEO & Chairman at Lakeshore Toltest Corp (LTC).

The panel will be moderated by Hayg Oshagan, Associate Professor of Media Arts and Studies Program in the Department of Communication at Wayne State University.

On the agenda are lessons learned from facing obstacles, starting and growing a company from nothing, the journey from grad school to entrepreneurship, overcoming financial obstacles and options for immigrants seeking business careers.
